A Legacy of Fit, Family & Fine Detail

Lace Alterations was founded in 2012 to share Gloria's expertise with a broader audience throughout Atlanta and beyond. The first Lace Alterations store opened in February 2012 on Roswell Road in Sandy Springs. She and her team of experienced bridal alteration specialists worked with brides from across Georgia, many referred by bridal boutiques or word of mouth. The store also welcomed brides from Alabama and Tennessee who traveled long distances to have their dresses altered.

In late 2019, she decided to relocate the store to the beautiful, historic Roswell.Lace Alterations opened its new location in January 2020. The new store had been open for only a few months when the COVID-19 pandemic and the shelter-in-place order began. Gloria persevered and, with the help of one seamstress, made cloth masks. After the shelter-in-place order was lifted, Lace Alterations resumed operations and restored its tradition of expert bridal alterations and excellent customer service.

Gloria has helped several beginner seamstresses become expert bridal alterations specialists and transition to independent work through closely supervised, guided training. Through this training, she has enabled these talented women to learn a marketable trade and become self-sufficient, confident specialists.
