Appointment & Service Policies
-
If your appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, missed, or considered a no-show, a $50 nonrefundable cancellation or rebooking fee may apply. This fee must be paid before another appointment can be scheduled. If your wedding, event, or alteration service is cancelled after work has begun, you remain responsible for all services already provided.
-
If you arrive more than 15 minutes late to your appointment without notifying Lace Alterations, your appointment may be considered a no-show and the cancellation policy may apply. If you notify Lace Alterations and accommodations can be made, you may only receive the services that can be completed within the remaining appointment time.
-
If you are not fully satisfied with a service, you must notify Lace Alterations during your appointment or within 1–2 days after the service is completed. Adjustments may be made if they fall within the services originally discussed and approved during your consultation or fitting. Requests related to changes of mind or new alteration requests are not included under this policy.
-
Bridal and formal wear alterations are completed based on your measurements, body shape, and fit at the time of each fitting. Changes in weight, posture, undergarments, shoes, pregnancy, workout routines, medications, or other factors after fittings may affect the final fit of your garment.
You are responsible for informing Lace Alterations of any body or sizing changes as soon as possible. Additional alterations needed due to body changes after measurements or fitting approvals may require extra appointments, additional time, and added service fees.
Lace Alterations is not responsible for fit issues caused by body changes after alterations have been completed or approved.
-
Completed garments should be picked up within a specified timeframe after you are notified that alterations are complete. Lace Alterations is not responsible for garments left unclaimed for extended periods of time. Storage fees may apply for garments left beyond the designated pickup period.
-
Once you approve the fit of your garment during the final fitting or pickup appointment, the alteration services are considered completed and accepted. Additional changes requested after final approval may require new alteration fees and additional appointments.
-
While every effort will be made to complete rush services on time, Lace Alterations cannot guarantee completion dates if garments arrive late, fittings are missed, or additional unexpected alterations become necessary.
-
To ensure accurate fittings and efficient appointments, Lace Alterations may limit the number of guests attending fittings, especially during bridal appointments.
-
You are responsible for bringing the correct shoes, undergarments, shapewear, and accessories to fittings. Changes to these items after alterations are completed may affect garment fit and may require additional alteration fees.
-
Measurements and alterations are based on the garments, shoes, and undergarments present during fittings. Changes after measurements are taken may impact final fit and appearance.
-
You are responsible for responding promptly regarding fittings, approvals, scheduling, and pickup communication. Delayed communication may affect timelines and service availability.
-
Emergency or last-minute alteration requests may require limited services, adjusted timelines, expedited fees, or additional fitting flexibility depending on availability.
Pricing, Fees & Payment
-
A minimum $50 consultation or pinning fee may apply when professional time is spent reviewing garments, discussing fit, pinning, marking, or providing alteration recommendations.
-
Once you verbally approve the requested work and garment cutting or alterations begin, you become financially responsible for all approved services. Once a garment has been cut, all associated fees must be paid in full regardless of cancellations or future changes.
-
If your wedding, event, or alteration service is cancelled after work has begun, you remain responsible for all services already completed, including consultation, pinning, fitting, or alteration fees. Partial refunds, if any, are at the discretion of Lace Alterations and depend on the amount of work already performed.
-
Initial estimates provided during consultations are based on visible garment needs at the time of review. Additional alterations discovered during fittings or while work is being performed may result in adjusted pricing.
-
Full payment for alteration services must be completed before garments are released or picked up. Deposits, consultation fees, rush fees, and completed services may be nonrefundable.
-
Once alteration work has begun, labor and completed services become nonrefundable due to the customized nature of garment alterations.
Garment Care, Liability & Client Conduct
-
Bridal alterations are completed based on your measurements, body shape, and fit at the time of each fitting. Changes to body shape, weight, posture, undergarments, shoes, pregnancy, workout routines, weight loss medication, or other factors after fittings may affect garment fit. Lace Alterations is not responsible for fit issues caused by body changes after measurements, fittings, or final approval. Additional alterations required due to these changes are considered new services and may require additional fees and appointments.

-
Lace Alterations is not responsible for delays, sizing inconsistencies, fabric issues, missing pieces, or defects caused by bridal boutiques, designers, manufacturers, shipping providers, or outside vendors.
-
Garments left unclaimed beyond a certain period after completion may be considered abandoned property. Lace Alterations reserves the right to donate, dispose of, or otherwise remove unclaimed items after reasonable contact attempts.
-
For safety reasons, children should remain supervised by a parent or guardian at all times during appointments. Sewing equipment, pins, scissors, steamers, and fitting areas may present safety hazards.
-
You are asked to bring garments in clean condition. Lace Alterations reserves the right to refuse service on garments that are heavily soiled, contain strong odors, pet hair, smoke damage, mold, or other unsanitary conditions.
-
Certain garments may have design, fabric, lace, beadwork, or construction limitations that affect what alterations can realistically be performed. Lace Alterations will communicate these limitations whenever possible before work begins.
-
Basic steaming or pressing may be included with certain services; however, Lace Alterations is not responsible for wrinkles, creasing, or garment condition changes that occur after pickup, transport, or storage.
-
When additional fabric, lace, or materials are required, exact color or texture matches cannot always be guaranteed due to dye lot variations and fabric availability.
-
Lace Alterations is not responsible for long-term garment preservation, yellowing, storage damage, or post-event wear unless preservation services are specifically provided.
